		Japanese souvenirs foreign visitors find attractive

3．		Application Categories



		As per the following:

	1）		Food Category, using regionally produced ingredients (excluding fresh foods)

			Food items which have been manufactured using regionally produced raw materials (items which can be certified with labelling that they are regionally produced)

	2）		Crafts & Skills Category

			Folk handicraft produced by skilled craftsmen using traditional techniques

	3）		Ecology Category(Items applicable to any of the following)

			Items produced by using recycled raw materials Items that will be naturally decompose when discarded Products that will lead to resource conservation and reduction in waste

	4）		Cool Japan Category

			Products that will convey a new image of Japanese culture

	〔Examples〕
	Food Category, using regionally produced ingredients
		Confectionery		(Japanese sweets, candy, Senbei, cookies, etc.)
		Pickles		(Umeboshi, Takuan, Nozawana, Misozuke, etc.)
		Spirits		(Sake, Shochu, Awamori, etc.)

	Crafts & Skills Category
		Lacquerware, Japanese dolls, hand-engraved ornaments

	Ecology Category
		Soap produced from used cooking oil, biodegradable plastic products, Eco-bags, Furoshiki, etc.

	Cool Japan Category
		Clothes, figurines, character goods, etc.

4．		Application conditions



		Items priced within ¥5,000, and of a size and weight easily transportable over long distances.

5．		Application Eligibility



		Organization (company, school, group) or Individual

6．		Prizes (Applicants who recommend prize-winning products)



		A travel voucher shall be presented for each prize-winning application in the Contest.

	Prize Categories		Gold Prize		：		For each prize(Travel voucher, ¥80,000)

	Prize Categories		Silver Prize		：		For each prize(Travel voucher, ¥30,000)

	Prize Categories		Bronze Prize		：		For each prize(Travel voucher, ¥10,000)

	Regional Prize				：		12 Items(Travel voucher, ¥10,000)

	* Winners will be notified directly by e-mail of the contest results.

7．		Important Notice Please confirm the following points.



		In the event there are multiple applications for the same product, the recommender will be chosen from among the applicants through a fair and impartial selection by lottery. Also, in genres such as "Japanese Sake" in which there are multiple producers, the selection of candidate items will be based on the [Recommendations]. Changes of address after applications have been filed should be reported by e-mail to the Secretariat.
