The Contest Executive Committee, in accordance with the judging standards, shall carry out the initial selection (documentation) of the items submitted, selecting 25 items per category for a total of 100 candidate items. The Screening Committee, in accordance with the judging standards, shall examine the items chosen in the initial selection process. The judging process shall be as follows: The examination will be carried out on a point system, and prizes awarded to those items scoring the highest points in each of the four categories. <Grading of items> Each committee member shall select three items from among the candidate items, (assigning 3 points, 2 points, or 1 point in descending order), and the total points of all the committee members shall determine the order of the winning items. *To efficiently carry our the selection of items, a list of the candidate items (with photos) will be distributed to each member of the Screening Committee. <Examples> Food Category, using regionally produced ingredients 1) 3 points = [“A” Co. This will be designated the Regional Prize. 1.Category Prize (4 categories) First Combined Score = Gold Prize Second Combined Score = Silver Prize Third Combined Score = Bronze Prize * In the event of a tie * In the event of a time, the items attaining the highest combined score of the foreign committee members will be ranked in the highest order.
